Re-use and recycling
We are dedicated to recycling iPhones throughout the world. As iPhones and their batteries contain several dangerous metals including lead, cadmium, lithium and mercury, re-use and recycling helps protect the environment and save natural resources.
We guarantee that all iPhones will, wherever possible, be re-used (in accordance with the European WEEE Directive).
Your iPhone
To receive the full value of your iPhone it should:
A reduced price will be offered on iPhones which do not meet the above criteria. This will be on a case by case basis and we will inform you via email of your iPhones value. You have the right to reject this offer at any time within the 5 day period.
Model Verification
Each iPhone is tested and verified for payment. If on inspection we find that the model you had sold is not the same as the one sent to us, we will confirm the correct iPhone by email for you to accept the revised offer. This can often happen where iPhone models look similar.
If we do not hear from you within 5 days, we will automatically make this change and process your payment on the new model.
Damaged iPhones
We can still pay you for your damaged iPhone but the value offered will be less than those listed on the site. Damaged iPhones should be sold as normal. We normally offer Eu 50 for any damaged iPhones.
Once the iPhone has been received and tested, we will contact you via email with a new offer. Where possible we will always offer a value for a damaged iPhone.
If you do not inform us of your decision within 5 days of us testing your iPhone, we will automatically accept it and issue the revised payment in the form originally requested. Under no circumstances can iPhones be returned after this period.
SIM cards
Please ensure you remove your SIM card before sending us your iPhone as SIM cards contain personal details. We will not accept liability if SIM cards are sent with the handset and any charges are incurred before or after receipt of your handset. Unfortunately once we have received SIM cards we are unable to return them.
Memory cards
Please ensure you remove your memory card before sending us your iPhone. Unfortunately once we have received memory cards we are unable to return them.
Payments
Where possible we endeavour to make all payments within 7 working days from the day your iPhone has been tested and confirmed to meet our Terms and Conditions. During busy periods we cannot guarantee payment within this period. All payments are non transferable and we reserve the right to withdraw offers with no notice.
Payment will be made via bank transfer to the account number and sort code you entered online. We use software to verify the account exists but we cannot take responsibility for account numbers or sort codes which are input incorrectly.
If you have chosen to be paid via Paypal you must have an active Paypal account. We do not take responsibility for customers that enter incorrect Paypal account details.
From time to time we will change the offer values of iPhones on the website with no notice. If you sell a iPhone we will pay the value on the date of sale.
Postal damage and loss
We do not take any responsibility for the loss or damage to iPhones before receipt at our warehouse.
We strongly recommend that all our customers package their iPhones securely to minimise the risk of damage. A padded envelope does not guarantee that the iPhone will be received in the same condition as when it was sent.
In addition, we suggest that all iPhones sent to us come by Recorded or Special Delivery. In the event that a package is received in a damaged state at our warehouse, we will inform you immediately so you can make a claim for the loss directly from your postage carrier. We cannot guarantee that the claim will be successful, and we cannot take any liability for any claims which are refused by external parties. For more information about making claims with your postage carrier please contact them directly.
Returns
We are unable to return iPhones that are sent to us and are accepted at full price, or after a customer accepts a iPhone value at a lower price.
iPhones will be returned to customers only if a lower price is offered and rejected within the 5 day period. We send all returned iPhones via TNT at your cost.
Best price guarantee
We guarantee to offer the best price of all phone recyclers in your country. Their offer must be published on their website and the company in question must be registered as a valid iPhone recycler in your country. Should another valid recycler offer more than us, we shall pay you double the difference if iPhone is tested successfully and meets our Terms and Conditions.
Stolen iPhones
We support CheckMEND, a crime protection database created to track stolen iPhones. If we receive any iPhones that are registered on their database as stolen, they will be destroyed using our recycling partner unless proof of ownership can be supplied.
Suitable proof of ownership would be documentation such as supplier contract or written confirmation from the Police showing that the IMEI is incorrectly registered as stolen. The documentation would need to show that the matching unique IMEI number of the iPhone sold is your property. Upon receipt of this information we can return the iPhone to you.
If we do not receive such documentation from you within 31 days, your iPhone will be destroyed using our recycling partner.
Please note
We encourage the return of iPhone boxes, battery chargers and accessories, but they do not increase the value listed on the website.
We recommend that you ensure all data is removed prior to sending an iPhone to us. For example, personal details, SMS, photos, games, songs or other data. We will not accept responsibility for the security, protection, confidentiality or use of such data. By sending your iPhone to us you agree to release us from any claims, losses or damages with respect to the data stored or contained therein or on any media used in conjunction with the iPhone.
All iPhone sales are valid for a period of 30 days only. Where possible we may be able to hold this price longer although we reserve the right to pay the current market rate for iPhones received after this period.
iPhone values stated on the website are subject to change at any time without notice.
